~An Academy of Odissi,Folk,Tribal Dance& Music~

 TRIDHARA is a pioneering institute which has been promoting dance and music in the State of Odisha as well as in India and overseas countries since last thirty five years. The institute upholds and disseminates the unique style of Late Guru Debaprasad Das and promotes the distinguished and synthetic Gharana imbibing essences from tribal and folk traditions in the classical dance, especially in Odissi Dance.The institute was founded by Guru Debaprasad Das who was the pioneer of Odissi Dance and spread Odissi dance in the western countries. The institute has its branches in Calcutta, New Delhi, Hyderabad, Paralakhemundi,etc of India. It has also its overseas branches in Malaysia, Singapore and Japan. The institute has been affiliated to Akhila Bharatiya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya Mandal, Bombay. Each year more than 100 students are passing out of the institute.

Students from different states and countries including overseas countries are undergoing training on Odissi dance.

TRIDHARA is also running International Summer Odissi Dance Workshop each year from 1st May to last of May. Besides this, TRIDHARA is engaged in promoting study and research work related to Odissi dance, especially the unique style of Guru Debaprasad Das in the forms of Seminar, Workshop, Study, Demonstration, documentation and collection and storing of books and audio visual materials related to dance & music. The organization has been organizing festivals, award function regularly. TRIDHARA is registered under the Indian Societies Registration in Act, 1960 and has got its separate legal entity permanent Account No and unique ID No-AABT 9420F

 Guru Gajendra Kumar panda, born in Lokanathpur, Chatrapur(Odisha), has developed to 

bea foremost custodian of the Deba Prasad Parampara of Odissi. He represents one of the most dynamic young Odissi Gurus in Odisha who is making significant contribution to the new Odissi repertoire. Immersed during his childhood the culturally rich folk tradition of the Ganjam district. Gajendra was lately fired by the passion for Debaprasad art. It was Gaji whom Debaprasad relied upon to remember his dance compositions so that by the time of his demise (1986), Gajendra had absorbed almost all of Debaprasad existing repertoire.

Gajendra has been visualizing and choreographing new works ever since his Guru’s demiseHe  is a Qualified Teacher cum Performer from I.C.C.R for Abroad.
